Do private driving lessons count towards my Behind-the-Wheel requirement? Will I get my license at the end?
Private driving lessons don't count toward your official Behind-the-Wheel requirement. These lessons are designed to build your driving skills, but you'll still need to complete a separate Behind-the-Wheel course later to obtain your license once you're comfortable and confident behind the wheel.
I have special needs (Asperger’s, PTSD, anxiety) or don’t speak English fluently. Can I still take lessons?
Absolutely! We're here to help you succeed. Please visit our Enhanced Learning page to learn more.
Will we use my car or the driving school’s car for lessons?
All lessons are conducted in our specially equipped driving school vehicles for your comfort and safety.
Do I need a learner’s permit to take private driving lessons?
Yes, you'll need a learner’s permit or another document that legally allows you to drive in Virginia before starting lessons.
I have a physical disability. Can I still take driving lessons?
If you require specialized equipment to drive, unfortunately, we're unable to accommodate you at this time.
Do you offer lessons in standard transmission (stick shift) cars?
Our school vehicles have automatic transmissions only. However, if you have a stick-shift car, we have instructors who can teach you while using that vehicle.
