Q: I received a court order that says I must take a driver improvement clinic. Can I do so at Colonial Driving School?
A: Yes, our eight-hour Driver Improvement Clinic is DMV-certified and court-approved. We use the National Safety Council Defensive Driving curriculum which is acceptable all over Virginia.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: All sales are final. However, all classes can be rescheduled up to 90 days from original purchase date.
Q: I haven’t received a court order. Can I take the class anyway?
A: Yes! You can come as a “volunteer” and get 5 points off your license! This is the best kept secret around! You can also get discount on your insurance for taking the class.
Q: How much does the Driver Improvement Clinic cost?
A: If you register and pay in advance, it’s $75.00. If you come as a walk-in, it’s $90 at the door.
Q: If I register for a certain date and can’t make it, what happens?
A: No worries, just let us know when you want to come. Your payment can be applied to a different date.
Q: How often can I take the Driver Improvement Clinic (voluntarily)?
A: Once every two years. And you can take it more often if ordered by a court or DMV.
Q: Do I need to register?
A: Walk-ins are welcome, but you can save $15.00 if you register and pay in advance.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: Bring your driver’s license and payment (if you didn’t pay in advance.) . Snacks are often available for sale at Colonial Driving School so you might want to bring a little extra cash.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Cash and credit cards. No personal checks.
Q: Where are you located?
A: We offer classes in Colonial Heights at 103 Highland Avenue. It’s across the Boulevard from the Goodwill Thrift Store, near the police station.
Q: When are you open?
A: We are open from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, and 8am-12 noon on Saturdays. Please note that we often hold various classes outside of our normal office hours.
